2011

I can't pretend that 2011 isn't a year that I shall be bloody glad to see the back of, in fact, while I have kept most of it off here, it was quite difficult looking back through this blog to put this post together. It is hard sometimes when there have been so many downs, to remember and appreciate the ups, but there have been plenty of those too. 

Sometimes it was case of making damned sure there would be, other times it was more a case of taking time to appreciate some of the simple things in life that often get eclipsed by 'bigger' things and often times this year, they have come about through the timely words, thoughts and actions of friends :)

So anyway, here are some of the good bits in posts and pictures...

...brought The British Science Festival to Bradford...

...was always going to be difficult, so we took ourselves off to Liverpool for a few days and made some new and happier memories...

November...

...and my beautiful boy turned 14...

and...December...

...which gave us the brightest of Solstice sunrises we've seen for a few years...

...and hopefully a sign of a brighter year to come :-)
